Ummm, no. Try Again. ↘

nowhere—-now-there:

Hating hate is still hate. Fighting what you consider ignorance with ignorance is still ignorance. Because someone is racist does not make it right for you to be racist back. Responding to posts with anger and passive aggressiveness will not invoke any positive change, only more negativity.

As a person of native American decent I can understand where you’re coming from, but by no means does that make it right. It saddened me greatly to see your blog, reading lines like “But you all keep crying into the white tears jar“. “Now get the fuck out of this tag or I’m going to run you out.“ Really? Sounds a bit much like what white folks said to natives a few hundred years ago. Brother, you have loss sight of your fight and what separates us from those with hate and disrespect in their hearts. You have become just like them, if not worse, for with a righteous veil you spread your hate.

If you find the term “gypsy” so deplorable and offensive why not go after the TV show “My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding” or one of the many fashion sites that advertise their clothing as a gypsy style, not engaging in petty battles with people sharing fashion photos over tumblr. Have you invoked any change? Has anyone found your tirades educational and changed their ways? Or have you merely been forced to disable the “ask” function on your blog?

When you take it upon yourself to fight something you become part of a greater picture and help represent all those who fight against. In this you have done wrong against those who truly fight for rights. If my uncle, who is still politically active today, came from such a place of hate it would spread those he speaks to. If he spoke like you putting his audience down no one would look up to listen to him.

I don’t expect you to understand this. I don’t expect you to stop. I fully expect a response coming from the same dark place in your heart. Clean up yourself before you attempt to “clean the fuck up”, as you only continue to dirty others.

I depart from you with a quote from a great man who actually helped peace prevail. “You must be the change you wish to see in the world”.
